All about teeth...

Today must have been teeth day for the Wilson fam.  I took Landon to the doctor this morning to see what was causing him to be so fussy and looks like it is the toothies.  He is getting his top and his bottom teeth in at the same time, isn't that wonderful :)  I am glad he didn't have an ear infection or anything worse.  He doesn't like the Dr. and I think he already knows where we are... He didn't want Dr. Moore looking at him or putting anything in his ears.  He weighed 16 pounds and 10 ounces and is healthy as a horse, all except for the teeth thing.  We have to give him Tylenol, teething tabs, and a washcloth (for chewing).  This afternoon Toph and I had dentist appointments as well.  We didn't have any cavities, but my teeth and gums are so sore that I don't want to open my mouth.  I guess that is what I get for skipping a few appointments.  We all got new toothbrushes including Landon and when I got home I rubbed the toothbrush on his gums and he LOVED it.  It must have felt wonderful. On the down side, the thing that I thought that was an ulcer in my mouth is some kind of growth... It isn't gonna go away on its on, lovely.  I have to schedule an appointment with the oral surgeon to get it removed before it gets any bigger.  Whew, it is always something.  Having something cut out of my tongue does not seem pleasant and after I googled it, it seems even worse.  Well, here are some pics of Landon with his Halloween leggings on, just plain adorable with those fat little legs of his.

Fall is in the air!

Lots cooler temps here in North Alabama today, and it felt wonderful!  I actually wanted to get outside today, so I decorated for fall, did some yard work, and pruned my shrubs.  I am give completely out now, whew.  Toph was home today and watched Little Man while I got my stuff done.  I wish it would stay this kind of weather all year round, I like walking out the door without sweating and Landon loves going out and strolling.  He can be having a hissy fit and if we walk outside it's like BAM he instantly stops crying.  That's how I can tell if he is really sick or something, because he wouldn't just stop crying if something hurt.  I think he is getting some teeth, and let me tell you, he has been a little fussy britches today.  He doesn't cry, it's kind of like a whine.  I hope the teeth soon break through and maybe he will feel better.  I sure hope so, because we have a busy weekend ahead.  Toph and I have dentist appointment Thurs., the 101 yard sale and the LCHS homecoming parade on Friday, and the Bama game on Sat.  I think I have forgot a few things we are supposed to do, I am just so tired I can't think. Well, I'm going to bed, the up side to Landon's teeth is that it doesn't affect his sleep.  That is a major plus!

Roll Tide!

Roll Tide Roll!!!  It was a nail biter, but it turned out to be a good one.  We have had a pretty good weekend, except Toph got called in to work the whole weekend.  That stinks.  I can't wait til he doesn't have to work all the time.  Landon wore his new houndstooth diaper cover today for the game and he was a cutie!  We waited til Toph went in for work before we brought it out, lol.  I think his stomach might have hurt tonight, he was a little fussy and spit up a few times.  It is hard to know what is wrong, because they can't tell you.  He might be getting some teeth, I guess we will just have to wait and see.  We have been so lucky with him not being sick.  It has been such a blessing.  All he wants to do is grin, chew his hands, put stuff in his mouth, and roll over.  He looks like a little turtle when he rolls over and sticks that head up.  It looks like I am going to have to head to the Dr. on Monday myself.  I thought I had ulcers in my mouth but I don't think that is the problem.  Guess I will go see what it could be :(

So excited.  I am very tired though, taking pics is like work now.. :)  Lots of planning for a baby photo shoot. Got to carry bottles, extra clothes, diapers, the clothes he is going to wear!  Takes a lot of preparation, but, oh well... it was worth it :)

A Sad Day, but a Great Ending

Today, my family went to the funeral service of my dad's sisters.  Marva was my dads youngest sister and died at the age of 47.  She had an aneurysm to burst in her head and left her brain dead.  It always plays on your heart "Could I have done something else?"   Marva has three young sons that need prayers.  Please pray that Jesus will touch their heart and give them comfort during this time.  Thanks So Much.

The good new is..... Someone in my family got hired at TVA!!!:)

A Sad Week

This has been a sad week for my family, especially my dad.  His sister, Marva, died on Saturday at the young age of 47.  She had an anuerysm two days before, and it left her brain dead.  It happened very quickly and it is always hard when it happens to someone in your family.  I know I didn't ever get to see my Aunt Marva, but she was my aunt and she always called me on my birthday no matter where she was.  She has three kids and I know that this is hard for them, because they have already lost their dad a few years ago.  Please pray for them.  The funeral is tomorrow and this will be the first time most of my dad's family has seen Landon.  The sad thing is that we really only see them at funerals and that sort of thing.  Thanks for all the prayers for my aunt, it really means a lot.

Show us your life: Living Room

I decided to join in on the fun with Kelly's Korner and show your living room.  This is a fun way to see what others are decorating with and get some fun ideas.  My living room looks a lot  different now with little man being here, his toys are my main decorations, but I love it!  I don't have as much time to spruce things up with fall decor, but thats okay...  Maybe in a week or so I can get my pumpkins out.

The view from the couch

By far, the best decoration I could ever have in the world!

An exciting week!

Wow, today Landon Jacob Wilson is four months old!  I can't believe it, time has flown bye.  I want to put a pause button in my life and a rewind, but I also look forward to watching him grow into his own little self.  I pray that he is a caring and sweet person that leads a Godly life.  Kids are cruel and it breaks my heart to hear of how mean some kids are to other kids.  All you can do is try to do the right things yourself, be there for them, and ask God for strength.  I think one of the most important things in life is to pray for and with your child.  They should see the reality of your faith as your turn to the Lord in prayer when hard times or problems come into your life, or just with help making decisions in everyday life.  I think you should encourage them by your example to praise God for the blessings of every day life.  I know that life doesn't come with any guarantees, but I want to know that I have done everything that I can.
Please pray for someone that is dear to my heart.  Pray that she has strength to overcome the obstacles in her life and lead the life God wants her to.  One day she will be proud of who she is and the person she has become, but being young is hard.
We have had a very busy week.  Landon went to the doctor on Thursday and had his 4 month checkup.  He said he was doing great.  He weighed 16.2 pounds (90th percentile) and was 25 inches long (50th percentile).  He talked to us about his food and told us to start with veggies first, because if he gets used to the sweetness of fruit he might not ever like veggies.  So he has tried sweet peas, carrots, and green beans.  He really makes a mess and tries to put his hands in his mouth every time he gets a bite.  So tonight I put a towel around him like he was getting a haircut and he couldn't put those little fists up there!  It worked out so much better and he ate the whole jar.  I have to give him is bottle first and then his food because he is really hungry and gets mad because he can't get the food fast enough.  He is eating very well off of the spoon to only have had food for about a week.  He is getting cereal in his bottle once a day before bed and has been sleeping from about 8:30pm til 6:00 am.

The Long Weekend

We had a great long weekend this wonderful Labor Day weekend.  Friday we went out to eat as a family @ Chili's.  Saturday, Toph had to wake up and go into work because of some problems and me and Landon went over to B's.  He got off in time to go over to our friends, Patrick and Amy's, to watch the game though.  We had a great time watching the game with our friends and catching up.  We stayed the night and came back to mom's to pick up little guy.  He was so good.  Then today we went over MawMaw's to eat and played volleyball and badminton.  We had so much fun.  It was Landon's first get together over MawMaws.  He got to have applesauce and carrots today and he loved them!  He liked carrots more that applesauce, but he ate both.  I can't believe it is time to give my little boy some food, it seems unreal.  Mom made him laugh out at her when she acts like she is going to eat him up, he just laughs... It is so amazing to listen to his laugh and realize that is what he is going to sound like.  My sweet baby boy, what a blessing he is.
